Clickworks took out an ad in IMJ Christmas 2010 and John set me the challenge of coming up with the design. The headline was ‘Of all the agencies in this magazine, why choose us’. I had a long think about this ad and tried to put myself in the position of a client not versed on the various different types of agency. To a client, design agencies all create the same things, even though they come in different shapes and sizes. Taking the season into account, I thought that cookie cutters could represent this concept well. They come in different shapes and sizes but at the end of the day, they all make cookies. I then modified one of the cookie cutters into the shape of an arrow to tie into the arrow in the Clickwroks logo. John thought it was a great idea and the ad went ahead.
