I worked on this postcard while in Verso. PPI are a wonderful client in that they trusted our creativity and were very open with their brief. A postcard had to be created which would represent the PPI Awards. As these are radio awards, I was faced with the challenge of representing sound. Sound isn’t tangible so I came up with the idea of cutting a number of things (radio, awards, ‘a’ and ‘r’ ) into acetates and overlapping them in the sunlight to get different shadows and light effects. In this way I created something which is airy and not quite tangible. The client was very happy with the result.
